Project
Apiari
The Project Apiari, promoted by the Riccagioia Foundation in collaboration with the Apicoltori Association, was created to promote beekeeping and contribute to the protection of biodiversity in the territory of Oltrepò Pavese.
The initiative is part of the Foundation’s commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration between local operators, and the sustainable development of the agro-food sectors.
The project is carried out in collaboration with the association APILOMBARDIA, which is responsible for the beehives, and INFRAGRI, which manages and processes the data.
Goal
The goal is to create a widespread network of apiari experimental farms, directly involving the agricultural companies of the area and introducing innovative monitoring and management systems.
The project also aims to strengthen knowledge of the crucial role of bees in pollination, biodiversity, and the balance of ecosystems.
