Project
Food Metaverse Platform
The Food Metaverse Platform (FMP) is a digital innovation project dedicated to the valorization and sustainable transformation of the agro-food sectors, through the integration of blockchain, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, ESG tools, and immersive experiences.
The platform is managed by Farm to Fork S.r.l. (F2F), composed of Diagram SpA, BIT4ID S.r.l., La Cenerentola S.r.l., and Fondazione Riccagioia 5.0. After the positive test on April 30, 2026, the project entered the commercial development phase.
Goal
The goal is to create a new digital model for tracking, certifying, and valorizing products, supply chains, and territories, by connecting producers and consumers.
A distinctive element is the tokenization of agro-food assets through blockchain, which allows the digitalization of the values generated by the supply chains, including those environmental and experiential, ensuring their traceability, certification, and transferability.

Immersive experiences
Fondazione Riccagioia is responsible for Module M8 – “Immersive Laboratories and Metaverse”, which develops the experiential component of the platform at the Torrazza Coste headquarters.
The module includes spaces and tools dedicated to immersive and sensory experiences, integrating the Foundation's scientific and experimental vocation with the digital technologies of the project.

Technology at the service of the supply chains
The platform combines digital traceability, blockchain certification, IoT, artificial intelligence, and ESG sustainability tools to create new ways of managing and enhancing the agro-food supply chains.
These technologies are complemented by the immersive experiences of the Modulo M8, designed to tell the origin, value, and identity of products and territories in an innovative way.
FMP proposes a new model for the digital valorization of the agri-food sector, capable of making the value generated along the supply chain more transparent and recognizable, and of creating a more direct relationship between producers and consumers.
The positive testing of the M8 Module in April 2026 also consolidates the role of Fondazione Riccagioia as a space for experimentation in digital and experiential innovation applied to the agro-food sector.
